Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Block Runner LLC (“Block Runner,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use blockrunner.ai, related account features, or the experimental iOS app.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Block Runner, we collect account and profile information such as your email, display name, and avatar; saved items and follows; support requests and private content reports; and the information you choose to submit through chat or public comments.
If you subscribe to Block Runner Pro — currently offered only to residents of the United States — we store subscription information: an identifier for your customer record with our payment processor, your subscription status, plan, billing period dates, and cancellation state. We also record how much of your AI allowance you have used in the current period. We do not receive or store your card number, security code, or full billing address.
We also collect device and usage information such as a random browser identifier, session identifier, pages and tabs viewed, artwork opened, filters used, saves, follows, comment actions, AI feature actions, landing path, referring site host, approximate country, browser or device category, performance data, IP address in ordinary server logs, and security or error information. The random identifiers do not contain your name or email, but may still be treated as personal data in some locations because they persist in your browser.
Preventing Abuse of AI Chat
AI chat is available without an account, which means it has to be rate limited in a way that does not depend on being signed in. To do that we take your IP address, combine it with a secret value and the current date, and store only the resulting irreversible hash together with a count of AI tokens used that day. The IP address itself is not stored in that record and is not logged as part of it.
Because the date is part of the hash, the stored value changes every day and cannot be used to follow the same visitor over time. These records exist solely to enforce the free AI allowance and are deleted once they are no longer needed for that purpose. Your IP address may still appear separately in ordinary server and security logs, as described above.
Public and Local Information
Your display name, avatar, and comments may be public. Do not include information in a public comment that you do not want others to see. Content reports are not displayed publicly. When you are signed out, saved items, follows, preferences, and chat history may be stored only in your browser. Clearing browser storage can permanently remove that local information.
AI Chat
Chat prompts, responses, and relevant product data are sent to OpenAI to generate answers. Signed-in chat sessions may also be stored in Supabase so you can resume them; signed-out sessions normally remain in your browser. We may store an OpenAI response identifier to continue a conversation. OpenAI states that Responses API data stored by the API is retained for at least 30 days under its default controls. Our chat reliability metrics record items such as model name, response time, token totals, tool names, and success status, but not the text of your prompt or response.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and personalize Block Runner; authenticate accounts; sync saved items, follows, and chats; display and moderate comments; answer support and content reports; generate AI chat; monitor reliability and security; prevent misuse; understand feature usage; improve the product; enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations.
Legal Bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to provide the service you request or perform a contract with you; for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving Block Runner where those interests are not overridden by your rights; with your consent where we present a choice and consent is required; and to meet legal obligations.
Service Providers and Disclosures
We disclose information to providers that process it for us, including Supabase for authentication and database features, Vercel for hosting and performance monitoring, Google Analytics for usage measurement, OpenAI for AI chat, and Stripe for subscription payments. We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect users, Block Runner, or others; in connection with a corporate transaction; or with your direction or consent.
Payments for Block Runner Pro are processed by Stripe, which acts as an independent controller of the payment information you give it. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout and billing pages and are never sent to or stored by Block Runner. We share your email address and an account identifier with Stripe so that a subscription can be matched to your account, and we receive back your subscription status and billing dates. Stripe’s handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.
Sale, Advertising, and Cross-Site Tracking
We do not knowingly sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Our first-party product analytics are not used to follow you across unrelated sites. Google Analytics uses its own first-party identifiers as described in our Cookie Notice.
Retention
Raw first-party product events are generally deleted after 90 days. Summary visitor records are kept until they are no longer needed for product measurement. Account information, signed-in saves, follows, chats, comments, and reports are kept while your account or the relevant feature remains active and as needed for security, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Subscription and billing records are kept for as long as tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations require, which is typically longer than the life of the subscription itself, and may survive deletion of the rest of your account. AI allowance counters are kept only for the current and recent periods. The rate-limiting hashes described above are deleted within days. Local browser information stays on your device until it expires or you clear it. Providers may retain information under their own policies and configured retention settings.
International Processing
Block Runner is operated from Florida in the United States, and free browsing, accounts, and AI chat are intended to be accessible internationally. Paid subscriptions are currently sold only to residents of the United States, so subscription and billing information is collected and processed in the United States. We and our providers may process other information in the United States and in other countries whose laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.
Your Choices and Rights
You can edit available profile fields, delete your own comments where the control is offered, sign out, clear browser storage, and block or delete cookies. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Email us to exercise a right; we may need to verify your request.
Security and Children
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service is perfectly secure. Block Runner is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and Contact
We may update this Notice as the product changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when reasonably required. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@blockrunner.ai.
